  • Dr.
    Michael Weeden

    Dr. Michael Weeden began his college career at Northeast Mississippi Community College in Booneville, Mississippi after graduating Co-Valedictorian from W.P. Daniel High School in New Albany, Mississippi. During Dr. Weeden's time at Northeast, he was a member of Phi Theta Kappa, and elected to the Hall of Fame at Northeast while receiving his Associate of Arts degree in biology. Following his time at Northeast, Dr. Weeden finished his college career at the University of Mississippi in Oxford, MS where he completed his Bachelor of Arts degree in biology with honors. Dr. Weeden pursued his Doctorate of Optometry degree from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee choosing to remain close to his Northeast Mississippi roots. While attending the Southern College of Optometry, Dr. Weeden received the second year clinician of the year award and was a member of the Mississippi Student Society association, along with the American Optometric Student Association and the American Contact Lens Society. Dr. Weeden has served as president of the Corinth Civitan Civic Club, an executive member of the board for the Mississippi Optometric Association and currently serving as the President of the Mississippi Optometric Association. Dr. Weeden has been involved in the Lion's Club of Iuka and Corinth for a number of years. In 2013, Dr. Weeden received the James Brownlee Optometrist of the Year award from the Mississippi Optometric Association. Dr. Weeden and his wife June, have 3 children; Blake, Jerrod, and Gracie. Dr. Weeden loves his community and the patients he has been blessed to serve. Dr. Weeden always tells his patients, 'I'm just a country boy who loves to take care of people.'
